Deal Sea and Canvas Art Creativity Studio is a coastal space where creativity, calm, and community come together. Based in the beautiful seaside town of Deal, Kent, we offer an inspiring environment for people of all ages to explore art, reconnect with their imagination, and grow in confidence.
We work as a relaxed creativity studio rather than a formal school. That means no pressure, no grades, and no expectations of perfection — just a supportive, reflective space where the process of making is valued as much as the final piece. Our sessions encourage experimentation, curiosity, and personal expression, allowing each person to develop their own creative voice at their own pace with their own level of independence, but as experienced educators we offer our guidance and knowledge to help you to achieve. We also sell pieces of art and art packs, so keep an eye on our window displays.

Spend a week on the Kent coast developing your landscape and seascape painting. Our residential-style weeks include 2+ hours of guided studio or outdoor sessions each day, blending coastal sketching with focused indoor practice.

We don’t provide accommodation, but we can share links to beautiful coastal places to stay within walking distance of the studio.
